The position of Communications Associate will develop strategic communications plans for various provincial initiatives, create or coordinate the deliverables for each plan, and distribute content across the various communications platforms of the Anglican Church in North America. This position will answer directly to the Canon for Communications and Media Relations, assisting in various aspects of provincial communications.
The provincial office is comprised of a small staff. While the qualifications for this position are mostly related to the field of communications, qualified candidates should be prepared to operate in an environment which may require work in other areas of provincial concern.
Candidates should have a passion for the Anglican Church in North America, a diverse skill set, and a willingness to grow in new areas.
The ideal candidate would have:
• Demonstrated strength in writing and editing.
• Proficiency in:
o The Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom, Premiere, etc.) (Please submit portfolio.)
o Photography, videography, & editing skills
o The Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
o Social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter
• Experience in:
o Contracting with vendors and freelancers
o Working with volunteers
o Developing and executing communications plans
o Customer relations
o Working with the media
This position does not require working from one of our two offices (Ambridge, PA or Loganville, GA), but if working remotely will require a distraction-free working environment with an excellent internet connection. Travel to 2-4 provincial events per year required.
